EQC Annual Report 2014-2015

The past year has seen EQC work closely with the remaining customers in Canterbury and complete nearly all claims as a result of the Cook Strait and Eketahuna earthquakes.

As this work draws to a close, EQC is focused on improving the experience of its customers’ in the future and contributing further to natural disaster risk reduction and resilience in New Zealand and the region.

We are also addressing land damage as the result of liquefaction and have commenced a world-leading Ground Improvement Programme to achieve this. Our contribution to the Treasury led review of the EQC Act 1993 will be informed by the hard lessons learned from the Canterbury earthquake sequence.
