At NHC Toka Tū Ake we have rules, policies, and ways of working that guide what we do.
NHC Toka Tū Ake has undergone many changes since our scheme began, all in support of our mission to reduce the impact on people and property when natural hazard events occur. As our experience and understanding of the natural hazards facing Aotearoa New Zealand continues to evolve, so do we.
We've changed our name to better represent the role our scheme plays in supporting New Zealanders.
Over the years, NHC Toka Tū Ake has evolved into one of the world’s leading providers of natural disaster insurance.
The Public Inquiry into the Earthquake Commission was provided to the Government in March 2020.
