Residential construction is the largest share of consented building work in New Zealand and, for most households, their single largest financial investment. Yet there is an increasing divergence between the available design framework and the way New Zealand now builds.
This report addressess the challenges within the sector, and recommends a National Guidance Framework for residential design.
